This is one of my favourite photos, I remember this precious little girl like it was yesterday. She was so thirsty, I gave her my water and my heart exploded with multiple emotions and feelings. There are so many people across the earth who are gasping for a drink, dying of thirst. You don't have to get on a plane to discover that [not that anyone can really get on a plane right now]! There are people in your family, your house, your street, your city, your nation that need a drink! People are thirsty for love, not the fake kind of love that so many of us have learnt the art of. Words are so cheap. But, Love is an Action, and people are desperate for pure, genuine, authentic love. Sometimes love means giving your last bottle of water to a thirsty child. Sometimes love means speaking Truth. Sometimes love means buying groceries for a friend who is struggling. Sometimes love means picking up the phone and saying "I'm sorry". Sometimes love means sponsoring a child in a developing country. Sometimes love means biting your tongue. Sometimes love means flying across the world to hug a friend in need [when the airports open back up]. Sometimes love means walking away. Sometimes love means telling a stranger they have a nice smile. Sometimes love means opening your home to those in need. Sometimes love means being a voice for those without a voice. Sometimes love means listening and not talking. Sometimes love means adopting someone into your family. Sometimes love means looking for the best. Sometimes love means getting on your knees and praying. Sometimes love means forgiving and letting go. Sometimes love means feeding the hungry. Sometimes love means giving someone a job. Sometimes love means writing a cheque. Sometimes love means a big fat smile. Sometimes love means a gift in the mail. Sometimes love means not gossiping [love doesn't gossip]. Sometimes love means answering that call in the middle of the night. Sometimes love means choosing to get over yourself and get yourself all over others! ❤️❤️ Whatever country we find ourselves in, whatever the colour of our skin, whether we own a lot of stuff or not, one thing we all need, desire and crave is LOVE! So who can you love? Who can you serve? Who can you help? Who can you hug? Who can you encourage? Who can you pray for? Who in the world needs your sponsorship and support? Who can YOU buy groceries for? Who can you be a friend to? Who can you believe in? Who can you accept into your family? The world is not changed by those who have millions of dollars and PhD's [although that's a blessing]. The world is changed when individuals, like you and me, everyday look for opportunities to love just one! When all of us stop and love one person, miracles happen.
